All about discounts

You want high-quality translations for as few money as possible? You are happy when you get 10 or 20% discount for your bulk projects? You expect quantity discounts? You wish to start a long-term cooperation with suppliers who are serious translators and produce good translations?
As much service for as few money as possible – that’s your right, but it’s also a tightrope walk.
I have invested many years in sound training and much money in further education and working materials to offer you the language and professional services you need as well as quality, expertise and up-to-date equipment to provide you with high-quality medical and pharmaceutical translations – now and in future.
My rates are reasonably calculated. This is why I don’t give discounts. At a closer look, you may find that many suppliers – not only translators/interpreters – give discounts on prices they had previously raised above average. I don’t like such strategies and therefore don’t use them.
Longer translations don’t necessarily justify quantity discounts. It takes more time to check if language, style and terminology are consistent if you have a longer document.
But it’s true that many repetitions of sentences and even entire passages may speed up the processing time if I can use a translation tool. And it is also true that I work faster once I’ve become familiar with a subject. If you have longer texts or updates of previously translated texts, I can therefore offer you to compare the line/word rate with the hours needed and charge you the best rate. You’ll save money – even without discounts!
